Duties may include:

  • Participating in a variety of resource and environmental protection activities
  • Conducting sampling, wildlife surveys, field data collection, handling problem wildlife and possibly fire protection work in some locations
  • Performing office work, such as issuing licenses and permits, filing, policy/legislation review and data entry (Conservation/Park Ranger) 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to compose technical reports and correspondences
  • Experience with GIS, GPS, maps, Microsoft Office programs, etc
  • Ability to identify wildlife, forest vegetation, or soils

  • Resource & Environmental Law, Natural Resources Management
  • Forest Ecosystem Technology  
  • Natural/Environmental Sciences
  • Geography, Geographic Information Systems
  • Engineering
